This 'Lazy River' Is The Coolest Place For Tubing In Quebec
Just do nothing.
The Laurentian's are the region just north of Montreal. The most famous attraction there is Mont Tremblant, but this area is so much more than just this one mountain.
Just a quick 2-hour drive north of the city and you will enter a beautiful Canadian paradise. Filled with pristine freshwater lakes and rivers with sandy beach-like shores. The Laurentian region is massive though, so you need to know where to go. That's where we come in.
A small quaint and charming town called Riviere Rouge - located just West of Le Parc Du Mont Tremblant - is a lesser known attraction that is not totally run over by tourists. This is the spot to go if you need to escape with your friends for the weekend.
Riviere Rouge means red river, and this town is most popular for the beautiful river that runs through it. This river is also known for water sports such as rafting and kayaking.
But what you can also do there is just laze around with your friends in giant tubes and drink beer. Sounds like heaven. Here is a little preview of what you can expect from a day at Riviere Rouge.
This location is ideal because it's close enough to drive for the day, but also perfect for a one-night or two-night stay. You can check out some stunning country cottages and chalets for rent on Airbnb, too.
Reserve fast! As the summer months roll around these places get booked-up very quickly.
