It’s one of the great mysteries of life. You may eat healthy, work out every day, and take your daily vitamins, but the dude down the hall who smokes all day and munches all-dressed chips and cheese puffs is skinnier than you. What the ****!? Well, it’s a mystery no more.

Basically, researchers found that marijuana intake correlates to lower risk of insulin resistance and lower levels of fasting insulin, which reduces high blood sugar. They also found that people who were current regular users had a smaller waist than those who never smoked.
