When the police arrived at the scene, they began negotiating with the man who was distressed and allegedly making suicidal remarks.
The man reportedly made the first fall on another bearing of the building, at which time the police continued to attempt to calmly talk him down.
However, the man sadly fell to his death, which was then reported by the police. The independent investigation process of Quebec (EIB) is currently investigating the whether or not this information is accurate.
Hopefully, they will be able to make progress in the investigation and uncover what actually happened. Was this man actually suicidal, or, was this an accident? In the end, it's tragic, and further investigation is the only thing which can reveal this man's actual motives.
