TL;DR A British newspaper is reporting that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are planning to move far from home once their baby is born.
This news is just the latest indication that Meghan and Harry are looking to distinguish themselves and move away from the core of the Windsor royal family.
The couple is already in the process of establishing its own royal household, complete with its own, rule-breaking Instagram account.
The Times goes on to share that Prince Harry's advisors are working on a "bespoke" role for him. If the couple moves, he would be doing some work on behalf of the Commonwealth and promoting the United Kingdom.
Imagine being so important that people just create jobs for you...
Meghan Markle is set to give birth to her first child imminently, which means that at least the first months of the child's upbringing will be in Britain.
The Commonwealth countries in Africa include:
- Sierra Leone
- South Africa
- The Gambia
- United Republic of Tanzania
Of course, Canada is also a Commonwealth country, along with Australia and India. No plans have yet been made, and it is still unclear where and when the couple will decide to move.
But this latest news suggests at the very least that the royal couple is opening to living for extended periods of time outside the United Kingdom. Markle once lived in Toronto to film the television show Suits. Maybe one day she'll return.
