- Mont Tremblant is going all out for the holiday season this year.
- In addition to plenty of fun wintertime activities, there will also be free Christmas and New Year's Eve parties.
- A new indoor waterpark is also set to open in December!
We're really getting in the holiday spirit over here at MTL Blog, as always, in the hopes of dishing up the best that Montreal, and Quebec at large, have to offer in any season. In my own personal effort to get festive, I've got my Christmas slippers on, a wintery candle is burning, and I even put on my all-time favourite Christmas album of all time, A Very Special Christmas.
Sure, it might seem a little premature... but those of us that look to the holidays as an opportunity to take a trip or make the trek "back home," however far that might be, right now is really the time to start thinking about all the whens and wheres.
If you call Montreal home and are looking for something nearby to do during your days off from work, I'm here to tell you: Don't overlook Mont-Tremblant.
Yes, we've all been there before, but they have some particularly exciting stuff going on this year, including events, activities and the opening of their all-new waterpark, so like I said... you're not going to want to overlook Tremblant this year.
The all-new waterpark is called Brind'O Aquaclub and it is expected to be opening this December 2019. The exact date has yet to be announced but there's no question that you're going to want to check that out avant ou après ski.
If a water park isn't really your thing, consider soaking in a Scandanavian bath or getting a massage at the Slope Side Amerispa.
Tremblant also has an all-new, on-mountain mobile canteen called Le Nomade that is now offering up "themed menus (smokehouses, Tex-Mex, etc.) that will alternate throughout the year." During the ski season, you'll find Le Nomade roaming the mountain serving up meals.
But don't feel like skis are your only way up (or down) the mountain!
Other mountainous activities you can take part in to get your adrenaline pumping include Alpine tours on snowshoes, dogsledding, dune buggy tours, helicopter tours, ice climbing, snow biking, a panoramic gondola ride, tubing, and snowmobiling,
You can also hop on a sleigh ride, do some cross-country skiing, ice fishing, ice skating, laser tag, test your wits at an escape room, go paintballing, or escape into virtual reality.
Essentially, what can't you do at Mont-Tremblant?
Plus, from December 24, 2019, to January 3, 2020, they'll be hosting Free Holiday Celebrations that include an appearance from Santa, live musical performances, and a New Year's Eve party taking place throughout the pedestrian village.
The Mont-Tremblant Fluorescent NYE Parade & Party starts on December 31 at 8 p.m. and is free to attend. You get to be a part of the torchlight parade and then party all night at Place Saint-Bernard, which they're transforming into a "fluorescent open-air disco."
There will be DJs, dancing and a "firework display at the stroke of midnight."
