World Car Free Day is next Monday, September 22nd, and to help all Montrealers get where they need to be without four wheels, BIXI is giving a massive discount on two-wheel rides, with any BIXI rental costing only a single dollar for the day.
Starting on midnight on'til 11:59pm, all BIXI fares will be automatically priced at $1. Simply select the 24 hour fare and the super-affordable price will be set up for you, with all normal rules for taking out a BIXI still applying.
To make sure everyone has a bike to ride on World Car Free day, 11 BIXI stations will be temporarily opened on September 22nd from 8am to 8pm. Here's where they will be:
- Berri / de Maisonneuve
- de la Commune / Place Jacques-Cartier
- de Maisonneuve / de Bleury
- Marché Atwater
- Métro Saint-Laurent (Maisonneuve / St-Laurent)
- Métro Place-d'Armes (Viger/St-Urbain)
- Square Saint-Louis
- Calixa Lavallée / Rachel
- Parc du Mont-Royal
- Square Phillips
