Not only was yesterday the 147th birthday of the nation, it also marks the hottest Canada Day in Montreal, ever.

The heat hit its peak at 4pm yesterday, with temperatures rising all the way to 32.5C. The city only reached a temperature that high on July 1st 50 years ago in 1963, with a temperature of 32.2C.

So if you were complaining about the heat yesterday, you were totally justified. 'Cuz damn, it was a scorcher.
