Montreal Brunch Spots Where You Can Eat For Under $10

Brunch is arguably the best meal of the day. It combines salty with sweet, dessert with "real food" and, because it's both breakfast AND lunch, you can eat two meals' worth of food in one sitting.
It's also a great time to sit with your friends and re-hash the previous night's antics, or catch up with someone you haven't seen in a while over a good cup of coffee.
The way I see it, there are really only two downsides to brunch: having to get dressed, and paying $25 for fancy eggs. Though I can't do anything about the first problem, I can do something about the second one.
I've compiled a list of the best brunches where you can get a plate of food for 10$ before tax and tip. Thank me later!

Tl;DR I've compiled a list of the best brunches where you can get a plate of food for 10$ before tax and tip. Thank me later!
Engauffrez-Vous
Where: 8 Rue Rachel E, Montréal.
What: This Plateau location has everything a brunch place needs to be successful (a witty name and great waffles), and it's my personal go-to. Their specialty is stuffed waffles, which will only set you back between $4-$6.50. It's really worth getting their brunch plate though: for about $13 you get coffee or tea, fresh juice, a waffle, salad and eggs. They have really limited seating though, so make sure to get there early!
Restaurant L'Avenue
Where: 3 locations: Plateau, St-Henri, and Boucherville.
What: This place is what brunch dreams are made of. They have a ton of great dishes to choose from and really cool décor. Though some of their options are on the expensive side, you can get a real good plate of eggs or an omelette for under $10.
Le Vieux Vélo
Where: 59 Beaubien est, Montreal.
What: This Mile End spot has incredible food for an incredible price. Everything on the menu, from eggs benedict to breakfast sandwiches, costs around $9-$11. They make a mean espresso, too.
L'Gros Luxe
Where: Mile End, Plateau, and South Shore.
What: L'Gros Luxe is known for their dinner menu and elaborate cocktails, but they also serve up a great brunch. A classic brunch plate with eggs, bacon, and sausage comes out to $8, and they have a lot of options that hover around the $11-$12 mark.
Café Orange
Where: 4011 Bd Décarie, Montreal.
What: This NDG classic is rumoured to have been named after the ever-present orange colour in the neighborhood because of traffic cones. The cozy decor is fun but the super affordable brunch menu is even better: everything on the menu is under $10.
Quoi de N'Oeuf
Where: 2745 Notre-Dame St W, Montreal
What: This cute eatery in the Sud-Ouest is known for its great brunch menu. They have a good selection of traditional breakfast plates for under $10. Their bread is super fresh and really delicious
Suwu
Where: 3581 St Laurent Blvd, Montreal.
What: Suwu is known for its happy-hour deals and creative cocktails, but did you know they also serve brunch? They have a good selection of creative dishes, like frittatas and pancakes, for less than $10. Pst: you can get bottomless mimosas for $35.
Foiegwa
Where: 3001 Notre-Dame Ouest, Montréal.
What: This Saint-Henri favourite is an uber-cool place for dinner and drinks, and an equally great idea the next morning when you need to cure your hangover from the night before. Though this isn't the most affordable place on the list, they have a few good options for those on a budget: the classic egg and bacon plate is always a winner. If you've got a sweet tooth try their breakfast brownie with coffee mascarpone cream!
La Bête à Pain
Where: Ahuntsic, Griffintown, and Laval.
What: It probably comes as no suprise if I tell you that this place is known for their bread. Almost everything on their brunch menu is under $10, from breakfast sausage sandwiches (what more could you want after a night out?) to their French toast. Pocket your spare change and head to their bakery to get a great loaf of bread to go.
Lawrence
Where: 5201 St-Laurent Blvd, Montréal.
What: This Mile-End eatery is staffed by young chefs with pretty serious credentials. Their brunch is honest, creative, and affordable! Much of their menu won't set you back more than $10. Try their scone with a cup of tea!
Happy brunching!
