Montreal Free Dagwoods Day Is Today

Celebrating 25 years of sandwiches.

When we hear the word "free" we immediately jump with glee, which then transforms into a full on fit of excitement when the free is attached to a delicious food. Case in point, Dagwoods Free Sandwich Day, and the news is still making our taste buds jittery with anticipation.

Unlike other sandwich competitors, Dagwoods is all about freshness, as you actually get to see your meat sliced right in front of you. No weird pre-packaged sets of meats, like that yellow and green sandwicherie.

If you're new to the Dagwoods experience or a longstanding fan, here's what you need to know to get a free Dagwoods:

  • When: Wednesday October 1st from 5pm to 7pm
  • Where: Dagwoods St. Denis (map)
  • What: 6-inch Dagwoods sandwich or 6-inch Cheese sandwich (with three layers of cheese)
  • Why: Because free sandwiches are the best sandwiches

Celebrating its 25th year anniversary, Dagwoods has been a Montreal staple since 1989, back when the first location was open in D.D.O. Over the years, Dagwoods has continuously filled the bellies of Montrealers with healthy and delicious sandwiches, and continues to expand, with a new location at Alexis Nihon mall and stylish renovations at several Dagwoods spots.

If you've never had a Dagwoods sandwich before, now's your chance to bite into a 6-inch for free! Don't forget about Dagwoods' special sauce. We're not really sure what it is, but it's been a Dagwoods staple since we can remember and will have your mouth watering!

A day of free sandwiches is already a cause for celebration, but we're hoping things get rapper music video level crazy. Okay, maybe that'd be weird (making it rain with cold cuts seems strange), though if it happens, it'd probably look something like this.

Say what you will about Dagwoods' rapping skills, because the sandwiches speak for themselves.

Visit Dagwoods' OFFICIAL FACEBOOK PAGE & TWITTER for all the updates.

Make sure you get your free Dagwoods sub on Wednesday, October 1st from 5pm to 7pm at the 2001 St. Denis location.
