We have for you yet another piece by Montreal photographer Samy lamouti. This time from a higher up perspective. The project was inspired he said by Koyaanisqatsi and he faked the 'tilt shift' look of the pictures and video with a Canon 40D and then putting it all together in Adobe After Effect and Premiere. We really enjoyed this one. It is fun to take a step back and look at your city in a new light and angle. Make sure to watch the full length video after the pictures below. It is amazing.
In a quite surprising manor, today the Quebec government is finalizing plans to announce that the Montreal metro`s blue line will be extended an extra 5 stops (according to Radio Canada) towards Anjou. The add on has been in talks for many many years already.
Mr. Sylvain Gaudreault, Quebec`s transport minister will address the media Friday in the am and will be strongly pushing the fact that this build is a priority.
The Montreal metro has not added any new stops since its extension north to Laval back in 2007.
Lets face it, we take our metro stations for granted.
Lets face it, we take our metro stations for granted. We don`t realise that we are lucky (forget about the shitty service sometimes) to take a ride on some the most clean public underground transportation not to mention beautiful metro stations that house the stops and are filled with superb architecture and public art. You may not want to think so but its true. Montreal photographer extraodinaire Samy Lamouti set his sights on exposing these facts with an amazing photo set entitled "Métro de Montréal". Take a look and let us know what you think Montreal.
