Montreal Is Hosting A Food Truck Festival This Month

Do you love Montreal food trucks? Of course you do, or else you wouldn't be reading this article. Do you wish Montreal food trucks could stick around for longer than a few months in the summer? Well, folks, you're in luck because this weekend, Montreal food trucks will be in an all-new pop-up location for springtime!

Located in the former Salada tea factory just off Highway 40 on Côte de Liesse road, this pop-up food truck market is opening on March 8th! The market will be open until the end of April only on Fridays and Saturdays.

TL;DR  Montreal food truck lovers rejoice! We're getting a brand-new food truck pop-up location starting March 8th. You won't have to wait 'til summer to enjoy your favourite food trucks!

Over the years, Montreal food truck organizers, the Quebec Street Food Organization, have been trying to expand their operations to lengthen the food truck season. They're the same group that organizes the YUL Eats festival that takes over the Olympic Park every summer.

This newest venture will place the food trucks indoors, similar to London, England's food truck warehouses. The location is the size of a football field and will feature the best Montreal food trucks, including a Tiki bar and a Japanese izakaya. They also have a liquor license if you get thirsty!

From March 8th to April 27th, the warehouse will have 10 food trucks making their best eats for adoring Montreal locals.

Since it's off a highway (making public transit a nightmare), there will be a dedicated shuttle service ferrying foodies from De La Savane metro station and back.

The festival is located at 5430 Côte de Liesse and will be open until 11 PM on Friday and Saturday. Entry is free before 8 PM and 5 bucks thereafter.

This will be your last chance to visit the colourful old Salada factory as it will be demolished to make way for that controversial Royalmount project.
