While the cold season invariably brings with it a bunch of stuff we more or less appreciate, Montreal definitely knows how to entertain us with awesome events, and at least keep us distracted during the big freeze. Well we just got word of the first big event of the season, hitting the city this December 5. Best part is, it's FREE!
EMPIRE CITY TROOPERS returns to Saint-Denis Street, sporting the longest urban snowboard course in Canada, where some of the best athletes in North America will compete in a unique slopestyle-type course, with a $15,000 grand prize awarded to the winner.
Promoting action sports and contributing to their ongoing development, this unique event is a joint initiative by the Association des sports d’action and Tribu Expérientiel, aimed at attracting key players in the industry while positioning Montreal on the urban snowboard circuit. Nobody else in the country organizes an event quite like this.
Whether you're interested in competing, or just want to admire the athletes do what they do, EMPIRE CITY TROOPERS offers a complete schedule of fun stuff to see and do, including live DJ's, food, mini-games, giveaways, a tir-sur-glace stand, a kid's zone, and a Coors Banquet and Jagermeister after-party at l’Abreuvoir. You don't want to miss it!
