Mexican food and Hip Hop music go hand in hand right? Whether it's a thing or not, the two are going to combine this Saturday in Montreal for a free taco and Hip Hop BBQ in NDG, as part of the 9th annual "Hip Hop You Don’t Stop" Urban Arts Festival.

The event, dubbed "Elementakiza," will be held at NDG Park/Girouard and will feature a lot more than just free tacos, though that is an amazing draw. A huge mix of local acts and DJs will be performing, and some sweet competitions for you where you can win some cash, including a $500 best dancer tourney, a $300 graffiti competioin, and a barbershop battle. Bet you've never seen that last one.

A two-day urban arts festival, Elementakiza will be preluded on Friday night with "Girlz N' Hip Hop," an event all about the role women have played in the Hip Hop movement. Films, discussions, and of course, performances by female Hip Hop artists will make up the night's festivities which will be housed in the Maison de la Culture de Côte-des-Neiges.

To find out more about the Hip Hop You Don't Stop Urban Arts Festival, Girlz N' Hip Hop, and Elementakiza (+ free tacos) head over to the official website listing here. For a visual of what's in store for your ears and taste buds at Elementakiza, check out the trailer from last year's event below.
