Montreal Is Hosting A Huge “Beer & Whisky Festival” This Weekend

If this city is known for anything, it's our amazing festivals. Especially when they celebrate the very things we love doing most: EATING & DRINKING! Combine the two, add live music, a totally 1950's vibe, and a truly unique atmosphere for three whole days of pure unadulterated gluttony, you get La Cuvée D’Hiver!

Returning for its 4th edition as part of the Montréal en lumière festivities, and with a magnificent new location at Salon 1861 in Griffintown, this is easily one of our absolute favourite events of the year.

On Tap!

Connoisseur or casual drinker, you'll definitely find something tasty from the many microbreweries that will be on-site including Le Trou du diable, McAuslan, Les Soeurs Grises, and for the first time Les Trois Mousquetaires, Beau’s and Brasseur de Montréal.

A dedicated cask ale bar, a new addition this year, will feature six unique cask ales created especially for the event. There will only be one barrel of each, so make sure you get at least one pour of each before they run out!

La Cuvée's famous Whisky Bar returns as well, showcasing some of the finest whiskies in the world. If straight whisky isn't really your thing, Burgundy Lion Pub will be on-hand with whisky cocktails, Le Domaine Pinnacle will have a range of Quebec-made spirits to sample, Pub Sir Joseph will be serving up special gin cocktails, and try out Les Vergers de la Colline's range of ciders.

Confessional Thursday (you're in a church after all!) is a special 5 à 7 with a surprise Cuvée twist, happening on the Thursday.

Feed Me!

All that drink is making us hungry! To go along with your merry-making, several chefs will be putting delicious food inside your starving belly including:

  • Pas d’cochon dans mon salon, with mouth-watering pulled pork sandwiches, pickled eggs, oysters and more.
  • Pâtisserie Crémy, hooking you up with fat homemade doughnuts and gourmet popcorn.
  • Pubsters, for some oh-so-tasty jerky
  • Bâtiment B, offering a sweet street food menu.
  • Tejano, because burritos.

Shake, Rattle & Roll!

Because no festival is complete without some live music, admission also scores you live musical performances from local rockabilly hotshots including Kath Biss, Hellbound Hepcats, Loose Pistols, Dj Don Mescal of Speakesay Electro Swing, as well as plenty of swing dancing to go with.

Trust us, you do not want to miss La Cuvée D’Hiver!
