Cold winter evenings are a perfect time for indulging in alcoholic beverages. This is why festivals upon festivals are available during the Montreal winters to encourage our "warming" tactics. Since there are so many events to choose from we want you to choose properly to maximize your drinking experience. So what is the drink that is both delicious and seasonal? Well, cider of course!

From February 13 - 15, Le Mondials Des Cidres will be held at the Complex Dejardin for the first time. The Mondial, partnered with the beloved SAQ, are planning to completely make - over the space as well as offer more cider related experiences than ever before.

On the line-up for this year is The Discovery Bar, offering sparkling ciders and tasty cider-based cocktails prepared by a creative mixologist very keen on having you discover numerous cider based pairings.  The cider school will be hosting cider-tasting classes led by the world’s best sommelier, Véronique Rivest. Each class features world class advice on how to serve and prepare cider at home. Lastly, the SAQ area is providing live music and  various activities to learn about cider that will be going on for the whole three days.

Don't forget to also check out the 20 different cider exhibitors who will be stationed all around the festival grounds. Just be sure to pace yourself.

The event will be starting at 5 p.m. on Friday, the 13th with bubbly cocktails available for everyone! And if you were curious, Valentines Day will be showcasing ice ciders coupled with jazz musicians. To learn more about what else is going down at the Mondail next weekend checkout their Website and Facebook page.
