This one-of-a-kind event is serving up food you wish you knew about sooner!
Montreal Is Hosting A Huge Ukrainian Food Festival

It's pretty obvious by now, festivals are a staple in Montreal. It's basically guarenteed that no matter what time of year it is there's going to be some sort of festival for you to enjoy. The best, of course, are food festivals. Luckily, we have quite an abundance of those.

Cultures and countries from around the world put their dishes on display for the entire city. It's always interesting to see what traditional eats become Montreal favourites and what we learn about the history of the food in the process.

That's why it's exciting to announce an authentic Ukrainian food festival is coming to Montreal in just a couple weeks!

This is the perfect event for anyone who appreciates European culture and prefers folk dancing over EDM music and secret cultural delicasies over the newest comfort food in the city. The Montreal Ukrainian Festival is for those who not only appreciate learning something new about a different country, but also those who enjoy the amazing food and celebrations that come with it!

The festival runs from September 7 to 9 and kicks off with that you'd expect (or not expect) a traditional pub night in Ukraine would be. Musicians and dancers from across the world will join the Montreal fest to give you the opportunity to try your hand at the traditonal dancing and song. Many events at the festival are actually FREE, so this is definitely weekend you don't want to miss.

Of course, the best part? Tons of food! Dozens of vendors will be present during all days of the festival serving up old-time classics such as borscht (don't knock it until you try it), pies, pierogies, as well as new twists on fan favourite food that everyone will love.

You'll seriously want to go to the fest on an empty stomach to fully enjoy as many vendors as possible. Once you're done stuffing your face check out some of the non-food kiosks that offer authentic Ukrainian toys, mementos and goodies you cannot find anywhere else on this side of the world. There's no other festival in Montreal with such a comprehensive display!
