Sake fans get excited, the first-ever sake festival for Quebec is being held in Montreal this October!

Montreal is known for hosting all kinds of "niche" festivals. We got Mac 'n Cheese festival, taco festival, foie gras festival, ribs festival – honestly you name a food, Montreal most definitely turns it into a festival.

I'm excited about the sake festival because, although there are a lot of food-centered festivals in the city, there are few centered around alcohol.

There was "Cocktail Fest" this summer and also The Festival Mondiale De La Biere, but in terms of actual alcohol, Montreal definitely needs a "Rum Fest" or "Tequila fest." Maybe these are happening and we just don't know? Please reach out to us if you've heard of such festivals being hosted in the city!

In any case, Sake Fest is on its way!

It's hosted by the Association Saké Québec and will be held in the heart of the Mile-End.

This event will showcase a range of over 70 Sakes!

Also, you will be able to eat and pad your stomach while enjoying delicious sake. Japanese food will be provided by some of Montreal’s top chefs and restaurants.

The price is $50 for an early bird ticket which includes 15 coupons and a glass. If you buy a ticket at the door it's $70.
