Montreal Is Hosting A Massive "Rock 'N Roll" Marathon At Lafontaine Park

Returning on September 25, the Montréal Rock 'n' Roll Oasis Marathon & 1/2 Marathon will once again be taking over the streets of Montreal, to make running actually fun. Now on its 26th edition, some 35,000 runners are expected this year to show off their sculpted calves and rock out to some amazing live music.
Whether you're looking for a way to get the family out of the house, or to set a new personal challenge for yourself, the energy of such a huge event is undeniable. Whatever your fitness level, all are welcome to experience this unique race that offers five distances, including the most popular half-marathon in Canada.
What makes the Montréal Rock 'n' Roll Oasis Marathon & 1/2 Marathon really stand out is the fact that over 20 bands perform at various locations along the course, with a FREE finish line concert headlined by world-class bands at Lafontaine Park. On top of that, participants get a complimentary beer, an STM card for the day, plus an official participant tee and finisher's medal!
With more than 30 destination cities, drawing 500,000 participants from all over, The Rock 'n' Roll Marathon series is the largest running series in the world. While you'll find the standard 1k, 5k, 10k, 1/2 marathon, and marathon distances available for all runners, it's really the unique block-party atmosphere, complete with live bands, cheer teams and entertaining water stations keeping you company along the way that keep fans coming back year after year.
