Montreal Is Hosting A "Pop-Up Restaurant" Festival

Food festivals are basically tradition for a proper Montreal Summer. Every week there's a different cuisine or cultural event with their own line-up of amazing eats, and you can never go wrong with trying new food and discovering restaurants you never knew were available in the city.

There's one festival in particular that's so popular it's known as a worldwide food carnival. Hosted in different locations across the globe each year, Montreal is lucky enough to be one of the cities that hosts the event for the 2018 season. So, if you're looking for the most spontaneous food festival of the Summer, this is definitely for you.

The official Montreal Restaurant Day is coming to the city this August 18, and you seriously do not want to miss out on it. The event will feature groups cooking dishes made in their very own kitchens and offering them to the public in a makeshift restaurant setting. The sky is the limit with this festival, so expect some absolutely insane twists on food and cuisines you have never seen before.

The best part is that you can even open up a restaurant of your own for the day! The location of where you want to set up shop as well as the price of your food is completely up to you, and you have the opportunity to wow people with whatever food your heart desires. There'll be lots of competition though, so you may want to come up with some one-of-a-kind menu items.

There's no specific location for all of the restaurants, but you can definitely expect this to be a city-wide event with each borough hosting it's share of mini-restaurants offering the best food in the city for one night only.
