Montreal Is Hosting Quebec's Largest "Ribfest" Ever

Montreal is never short on food festivals in the summer. Whether you're a meat eater or a plant muncher, the city will give you a time and place to fill your stomach under the sun.

Summer 2018 is no exception. So be sure to get ready for the biggest meat event of the year: Ribfest!

From September 13 to 16, 2018, Montreal's Old Port will be hosting the largest rib festival in all of Quebec! For 6 days, amazing ribbers from Texas, Alabama, New Mexico, Florida, and Tennessee will be here to feed you. They know ribs down South!

Back at its original location at the Jacques Cartier Quay, Ribfest 2018 is sure to impress. It's bigger and better than last year with 8 new ribbers!

Don't worry, this event is only about eating ribs (though it's definitely mostly about eating ribs), there's going to be music, shows, artists, and activities for the entire family to enjoy. There's even a designated family zone and a DJ in the evening. With more seating and more organization, Ribfest 2018 is going to be a great time.

This year, the organizers decided to bring something new to the event: a Quebec-based microbrewery! Out of the 6 different microbreweries featured at Ribfest, one of them is from home.

If I were you I'd put this on my calendar. What better way to spend the summer than covered in rib sauce?

Best part? It's completely free!

Check out their website and Facebook event for everything you need to know.
