It's official: this February, Montreal is opening the world's largest Barbie exposition. How exciting is this? A real barbie museum in our city!
Where? In a massive 5,000 sqft space at Les Cours Mont-Royal. It will feature over 1,000 different barbie dolls representing different generations and eras. Both kids and adults can enjoy this exposition! After all, Barbie is the best representation of fashion evolution throughout history.
If you're a fashion connoisseur, you will definitely enjoy Barbie's multiple outfits created by world famous designers like Christian Dior, Versace, Givenchy, Donna Karan, Giorgio Armani, Ralph Lauren, Vera Wang, Oscar de la Renta, Christian Louboutin, Zac Posen, Carolina Herrera and Herve Leger among many others.
Many "famous" barbies will also be on display: Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, Elizabeth Taylor, Beyonce, Cher, Jennifer Lopez, Kate Middleton, Marie Antoinette, Coco Chanel, Grace Kelly, Cleopatra...
The opening media event will be on Feb. 10, and the general public will be welcomed starting from the following day.
The museum is non-for-profit, so there is no admission fee but visitors may leave a donation towards the Make a Wish foundation at their discretion.
