Montreal Mayor Denis Coderre Installs Gay Pride Flag On City Hall

A symbolic 'suck it' to the rampant homophobia in Russia.
Montreal Mayor Denis Coderre Installs Gay Pride Flag On City Hall

Montreal's mayor, Dennis Coderre, is not a fan of Russia's backward stance on the LGBT community.

In protest of the messed up homophobic laws in the country hosting this year's Olympic Winter Games, Coderre is putting up a rainbowed gay pride flag at City Hall to support the fight against homophobia in Russia.

Coderre spoke out against Russia's treatment of LGBT individuals on Le Québec Matin, ridiculing the country's hysteric homophobia.

When the mayor makes a into a metaphorical flipping off of a homophobic nation, you know the city is in good hands.
