Last year Montreal tried to get the world tallest Christmas tree, presumably so they could "one-up" the tree at Rockefeller center. But they focused so much on the height of the tree that no one bothered to make sure it was actually pretty.

Luckily we embraced our ugly tree, and this year we even purposely put up an ugly tree to keep the tradition going. It's called the "Vilain Sapin", and although they may call it ugly, it's actually amazing!

That, or it was grown by some evil Christmas demon. Either way, it looks totally bad-ass and it's by far the most original looking tree we've ever seen:

The tree is located at the Village du Villain Sapin on Prince Arthur Street.
