The Quebec government has officially strenghtened up the rules on smoking vapes and cigarettes in Quebec.
The law goes further and bans any kind of smoking in a vehicule with someone under 16 years old.
The amount for fines has already increased in all situations.
From the Montreal Gazette: “Smoking is the leading cause of preventable death in Quebec and is responsible for a third of cancers,” Suzanne Dubois, executive director of the CCS in Quebec, said in a statement. “Anti-tobacco legislation is a primary tool in the fight against cancer. No other prevention measure can save as many lives. With An Act to bolster tobacco control, the Couillard government is striking hard.”
