Montreal Opens All-New Mediterranean Restaurant In The West Island
As a proud West Islander, I was exceptionally happy to discover a new fabulous addition to our underestimated part of Montreal. Ossiano first opened its doors in November 2015 and has already been able to establish itself as a strong player in its category.
This new restaurant will make anyone who lives in the west part of town ecstatic. However, I also strongly encourage anyone from other parts of Montreal to take a little trip and treat yourself to a fine dining experience. It's totally worth the drive!
Upscale but not pretentious, high end but inviting, Ossiano has totally swept me off my feet. It's more than just a restaurant, it's an experience. The moment you walk in, have your coats checked and then courteously get invited to your table by the Maitre D'... you sit down comfortably in your chair and get completely immersed into the lavish decor. That's when you catch yourself thinking, "Wow, I can't believe this is West Island."
Their menu consists of a broad variety of raw and cooked seafood options, as well as excellent meat items for the carnivores.
I had the best grilled octopus and tuna tartare in Montreal here, hands down. Then I tried the grilled calamari, they were outstanding. Salmon was also perfectly cooked and beautifully served. Whether you're a food snob or an amateur, this place will leave you satisfied and craving for more.

I'd like to also mention their dessert menu. Ossiano has sweet things completely figured out. It's impossible to pick just one item, everything sounds and tastes delicious. After dinner, I scanned through Ossiano's food photos online and realized that they don't mess around with their desserts and take them very seriously.
My verdict: gorgeous restaurant, outstanding menu, great service, a parking lot! What's not to love?
