Almost exactly 50 years ago, one of the most iconic, influential, and popular bands in modern music history came to Montreal for their first and final performance. We're of course talking about The Beatles, who rocked the Montreal Forum on September 8th, 1964, and never played again in the city. One event will try to recapture the magic.
To commemorate the 50th anniversary of The Beatles' visit to the city, Montreal Beatles' Day is being held on September 7th at Oscar Peterson Concert Hall. Headlining act REPLAY will be joined by three other musical performances in an all-night musical ode to The Beatles and their lasting legacy in music culture.
Way back when The Beatles played their show in Montreal, tickets were only $4.50-$5.50. Montreal Beatles' Day won't be quite so crazy cheap, but you can check out ticket prices and get all the details at the ticket-listing here.
