Honestly, one of my all-time goals in life is to watch the sky come alive with gorgeous lanterns.

Not even joking, the wish lantern scene from Tangled makes me cry all. The. Time. And if you're as desperate to view this gorgeous phenomenon as I am, then I've got some awesome news for you!
The Lights Fest is putting on a huge "wish lantern" festival for the Montreal area on September 16, from 3:00PM - 9:00PM. It's going down in Saint-Marcel-de-Richelieu (546 Rue de l'École), about an hour drive out of the city.
Featuring live music, food trucks, and - of course - tons of lanterns illuminating the night sky, this festival pretty much sounds like the most awesome thing, ever. Hands down.
According to their website, the festival will provide special, non-standard lanterns that stay in the are for a short amount of time and are made with biodegradable and non-flammable materials.
Plus, the lanterns are customized to make sure they land within a specific spot, so they're easier to pick up.
Tickets for the festival range from $27-$55, depending on when you buy them. So if you hurry, you'll even get to save about $25!
