Montreal Was Surprised By A Beautiful Winter Snow Storm Last Night (14 Photos)

'Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.'

No one saw it coming, but last night Montreal got hit with several centimeters of snow and ice.

But this wasn't one of those angry violent snowstorms, it was just a lovely, calm, winter snowfall. The kind you used to get excited about when you were a kid.

Plus it just doesn't quite feel like Christmas if there's no snow on the ground, so I say bring it on!

And even if you can't stand winter, you have to admit that Montreal simply looks magical when it puts on its white coat.

This summer's edition of Montreal's Settimana Italiana, called ItalfestMTL, is celebrating the city's Italian community and culture with a hybrid of virtual and in-person events, and it finally announced its complete program.

The 28th edition of Montreal's Italian festival runs from August 6 to August 22 and features concerts, comedy, culinary capsules, an opera evening and a drive-in event.

2 Quebec Cities Made The Top 10 Domestic Destinations Canadians Want To Visit This Summer

But places in Alberta, British Columbia and Ontario ranked higher.

Based on hotel searches, Expedia released a list of the top 10 domestic destinations where Canadians are showing interest in travelling this summer — and two cities in Quebec made the cut. 

Quebec City and Mont-Tremblant ranked ninth and tenth on the list of Canadian travel destinations below cities in Alberta, B.C. and Ontario.
