• At least 10 cm of snow will hit Montreal tomorrow during the day and, even worse, after the snow and 60km/h winds... it's going to rain.

The weather this past weekend in Montreal was kind of weird. It was super cold on Saturday but then Sunday it was almost spring-like in temperature. And it's looking like Montreal weather this week is going to follow a similar pattern. Just tomorrow alone we're going to see Montreal hit with 10 cm of snow followed by rain in the evening. Then on Wednesday, there will again be a chance of flurries during the day, followed by a sharp drop in temperature overnight when it goes down to -20°C.

This yo-yo forecast definitely has the ability to turn the whole city into a giant ice rink when the rain that falls tomorrow night turns the city streets into a slushy mess...

Environment Canada is forecasting the temperature for Wednesday as only -3°C, so it will likely remain wet and sloppy outside for the day.

But as night falls on Wednesday and temperatures reach -20°C, we're going to see a super freeze of all the slushy, wet, sloppy snow.

It's going to stay pretty cold on Thursday, too, giving things a chance to really freeze solid, which will really create a slippery situation in Montreal.

Below is Montreal's forecast for the beginning of the week, provided by Environment Canada.

Environment Canada is forecasting that the snow will begin in the morning on Tuesday and we can expect at least 5 cm and up to 10 cm throughout the day.

Tuesday's forecast also includes intense winds kicking off at 30 km/h in the morning and gusting up to 60 km/h, which will, in turn, deliver a windchill factor of -16 despite the forecasted high of plus 2°C.

Things will warm up considerably as the wind dies down in the evening, as the forecasted low on Tuesday night is only -3°C, which will allow for the rain to start falling overnight.

Wednesday will be bringing a 60% chance of flurries, so we will likely see some snowfall throughout the day. Then, Wednesday evening, the big freeze is going to happen as the temperature drops down to -20°C overnight.

What's even more worrisome are the warm sunny days to follow... this weekend could end up being a real slushy, melty mess.

But we'll just have to wait and see what the forecast says closer to the end of the week!
