I come bearing the gift of the 10 coziest cafés in Montreal for studying and getting work done.
Some cafés and coffee shops are better for working than others. For me, I need a place that is cozy and inviting, with lots of space for other people so that it doesn't feel like anyone is on top of me.
I'm not the kind of person who craves a bright white café with sleek chairs when I'm trying to get work done.
If that's you, I apologize right now because this list is not really for you (although I suggest you take a look... just in case).
This list is for those workers that need some cozy decor, soothing music and perhaps some delicious scents wafting from the kitchen.
Cafés are some of my favourite places to get work done (high up there with dive bars in the middle of the day). I love being around other people to spur my inspiration and seeing new parts of the city.
So if you need somewhere to study for midterms or meet an upcoming deadline, consider one of these ten awesomely cozy cafés in Montreal where you can actually get work done.
Caravane Café
Why: Tons of seating upstairs and down, awesome espresso and it's literally steps from the metro.

Café Santropol
Why: Countless little nooks to tuck yourself into and amazing vegetarian fare. Laptop zones in effect, so consider having a laptop-free lunch break on the terrasse while the weather still allows.

Café Shaika
Why: Big bright windows and lots of seating-style choices.

Le Moustache Café
Why: Big booth tables, huge windows and a friendly St-Bernard lounging on the ground!

Why: Pillows, plants and plenty of seating. The Iranian menu has several teas and sandwiches to try.
