2K Games Is Opening A New Design Studio In Montreal & It's Hiring Creative Positions

Montreal will soon be home to another renowned video game studio as 2K Games will open its first-ever Canadian office. The studio, named Cloud Chamber, is developing the next installment of 2K's immensely popular BioShock franchise. Cloud Chamber is already hiring in Montreal and will potentially open more positions over the next few years.
"We are incredibly inspired and excited by the opportunity to bring BioShock back to its passionate global audience, as well as be the first 2K studio with a presence in Canada," said Ken Schachter, Studio Manager at Cloud Chamber Montreal.
Montreal International and Investissement Quebec played a huge role in supporting 2K's investment in the project. Cloud Chamber Montreal will join a thriving video game industry in the city that is among the top in the world.
"As the country's leading video game production centre, Montreal has been shining for many years thanks to the creative genius of its workers," said Mayor Valérie Plante.
The video game industry in Quebec is one of the fastest-growing industries in the province.
According to Stéphane Paquet, Vice President of Foreign Investments Organizations at Montréal International, "[the industry] generated a remarkable rise of 31% in the number of jobs in the last two years, thanks to our highly qualified pool of talent."

Qualifications: 3+ years of professional experience, at least one AAA-level project on your resume
You'll be working with a team developing the major quests and levels for the new BioShock game. You'll collaborate with development teams in Montreal as well as 2K's Novato studio.

Qualifications: 5+ years of experience, at one AAA-level project on your resume, deep knowledge of AI design.
You'll be working with the design team to lead the conception of AI combat systems for the game. You'll also collaborate with teams across 2K's studios to develop all the combat AI prototypes for BioShock.
