Animals make everything better. They are cute and snuggly, and every move they make is enough to make my heart melt. Throughout the depressing wintertime, there is nothing that will make you happier than some one on one time with some charming little creatures. That's why we put together this list of things to do in Quebec if you love to get up close and personal with animals.

From playing with baby wolves and walking alpacas to horseback riding and dog sledding, animals are all around the province. 

Throughout the winter, I know that we are all looking for things to do to make its dreary days a bit more tolerable and what better way to achieve that than with endearing creatures that will melt the snow right off your cold heart?

Not only will these activities put a smile on your face but they will also give you enough social media content to get you through the season. 

The following destinations are all known for their humane treatment of and advocacy for their animals.

Let Wolves Lick Your Face

Where: 2395 rang de la Pointe, Girardville Centre Quebec; Aventuraid Parc

As someone who has always wanted to play with wolves, I was so excited to find out that right here in Quebec, there is a park that offers just that.

At Aventuraid, you can interact with and even camp among these majestic creatures.

This animal haven is home to 3 different wolf packs and there are even baby wolves to play with!

Take An Alpaca For A Walk 

Where: 2300 Rue Cowie, Granby; Verger Champêtre

Spending the day at Verger Champêtre is the perfect way to put a smile on your face if you are feeling those winter blues.

Located an hour and a half from Montreal, the farm offers an experience like no other and some pretty great Instagram fodder.

You have until the end of the month to rent an alpaca to take on a walk through the woods. It will cost you $15 for 20 minutes — money well spent!

Take A Stroll With A Mini Horse

Where: 2300 Rue Cowie, Granby; Verger Champêtre

Mini horses are adorable, shrunken horses that are bound to turn your frown upside down!

And, since it is at the same place as the Alpacas you can walk both animals on the same day!

Go Horseback Riding Through The Forest

Located about 45 minutes outside of Montreal, Double G is a great place to bond with a horse and ride it through the forest.

You can sign up to ride by the hour and will be able to trot through the forest while taking in the surrounding wildlife and beauty.

There is even an option to stay on an overnight camping trip, with smores, bonfires, and beers!

Do Yoga With Baby Goats

Located 30 minutes from downtown Montreal, Ferme du Domaine Quinchien is an ideal place for anyone looking to escape the city without having to go too far.
