A Famous New York City Café & Bakery Just Opened Its First Location In Montreal
Griffintown, get excited because your neighbourhood just got a new spot all the way from New York City.
Yesterday, Maman opened its doors in Montreal and we couldn’t be more thrilled to share it so you could be one of the first to check it out for yourself.
Not only does this location have a full bar and liquor license but it also has coffee from Parlor Coffee in Brooklyn,* making it the only business in Canada to feature products from the New York company.
Maman began its journey in 2014 when it opened its first location in Soho, Manhattan. It soon became a favorite to New York locals and tourists alike.
After great success, they decided to expand. Maman opened several locations throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn and eventually began to look further north. They opened a Toronto location and have finally arrived in Montreal.

What makes Maman special, besides its delicious drinks, beautiful décor and welcoming outdoor summertime terrasse, is that all dishes focus on locally sourced ingredients. They put a twist on French foods and combine it with North American elements.

Their ever-evolving menu is a foodie’s dream, with mouth-watering breakfast and lunch options as well as their famous freshly baked goods, there is no reason why this shouldn’t be your new hangout in the city.
Oprah even named their famous nutty chocolate chip cookie as one of her Favorite Things in 2017 and if it is good enough for Oprah it is good enough for me!

Maman is a great addition to our city. Not only will you leave completely satisfied but both the food and the location are really photogenic, making it a great spot to get that good social media content.
