A Mac & Cheese Food Truck Festival Is Taking Place Near Montreal This Week
  • Le Grand Macfest is a mac and cheese festival taking place this year at the DIX30 shopping centre in the suburb of Brossard on the Montreal South Shore.
  • 8 food trucks are participating, offering a selection of unique takes on the classic dish as well as some beer!
  • There will also be face painting and music!

A huge mac and cheese festival is coming to DIX30 on the Montreal South Shore! Mac and cheese has now become a trendy dish that many restaurants have decided to start serving with original twists. There are so many variations of this decadent and mouth-watering meal. From truffle mac and cheese, to mac and cheese topped with fried chicken, this plate has come a long way from grocery aisles and kids' menus.

Le Grand Macfest is a celebration of the dish and its resurgent popularity — and I can already taste the greatness.

The festival will take place at DIX30 in Brossard on the South Shore, a close enough journey for anyone who loves indulging in a big old plate of gooey and cheesy mac.

This simple yet amazing meal has endless opportunity for variation, and with eight food trucks participating in the event, you are sure to taste some unique takes on this North American classic.

This event highlights the craft and artistry that can be created out of simple ingredients.

There will be a slew of activities for all ages including music groups, makeup artists and water games to enjoy with your crew.

As a bonus, there will also be a range of local beers to wash down your mac.

The prices are said to be “affordable” and entrance is free, so the cost of getting to Brossard from Montreal is well worth it.

This four-day family event is perfect for all age groups — and best of all you can bring your dog along for the adventure!
