Air Canada Has Chosen Famous Montreal Chef Antonio Park To Design A New International Flight Menu

And they couldn't have made a better choice.
Air Canada Has Chosen Famous Montreal Chef Antonio Park To Design A New International Flight Menu

Remember the days when airplane food was, well...airplane food? Where meals somehow defied the basic principles of states of matter and managed to be both rubbery and soggy at the same time?

Those days are slowly falling to the wayside with more airlines than ever collaborating with some of the best chefs worldwide.

Air Canada has released the name of its latest partnership and it is none other than Montreal based chef, Antonio Park.

Park - the owner of Japanese fusion restaurantwith the same name - has been chosen to design meals for Air Canada's Asia and South American flights.

Park’s Korean and South American backgrounds, along with his passion for blending foods from all cultures will without a doubt make this one of the most original meals served 30,000 feet in the air.

Starting tomorrow passengers onboard flights between Montreal and Tokyo-Narita will be treated to Park's very own culinary masterpiece focused on Canadian ingredients but with Japanese techniques

Photos from the launch event show what passengers may expect from the new menu:

You don't have to be flying first class to enjoy his meals, but you do have to be flying Montreal-Narita; everyone from business to economy can choose his meals. Unfortunately, if you're flying any other Asian destination it's only for those guys in business class.

Air Canada has plans for Park to expand through the Asian market and to start creating meal plans for some South American destinations by 2020.

The official announcement from Air Canada is later today and we can't wait to hear what the full menu will be.

If you don't have the time or money to hop on a flight to Asia, then you can still head over to Westmount and check out the cuisine at Park Restaurant, without having to deal with that pesky security line.
