- Since we're all looking for things to do while stuck at home, we've created a perfect, locally-sourced, Montreal at-home spa experience.
- These products from local Quebec shops, like soap, bath bombs, skincare essentials, and more will give you that oasis you need right now.
- Check out our suggestions below!
I don't know about you, but this self-isolation has started to wreak havoc on my beauty routine as I'm forced to attempt to do everything myself, at home in Montreal. I'm feeling like a whole hot mess and wishing I could just go to one of my favourite Quebec spas and forget all my worries. But, as we all know, that vision is nothing but a distant dream at this point, as we all continue to stay home in order to keep each other safe — which is why I decided it was time for me to create a Montreal at-home spa day.
All I need is some bath bombs, naturally-made soap, some skincare essentials and a beautifully-smelling candle and I'll be set.
This way I can continue to support local Quebec businesses by ordering products online, without ever having to come into contact with anyone!
(I might just get used to this method and never bother leaving my own at-home spa again.)
So if you're feeling like you need some spa time, here are some essentials from local Quebec creators that can help you create the at-home spa of your dreams.
Candles & Essential Oils
This pine and apricot candle is a special edition soy candle by Blanc Soja called "Ça va bien aller."
My t.lees candle was the first to arrive of my at-home spa essentials, so I've already been able to test it out. I bought the Woodsmoke candle and have been burning it non-stop since it arrived.
Soaps & Bath Bombs
Dive into one of BUTR's luxurious bath bombs and watch your worries float away on the frothy foam.
If you're looking for 100% natural products, made right here in Montreal, WYZAH MUSK has got you covered. Try their signature black soap made with tea tree oil and charcoal.
Robe & Slippers
I've been a fan of Sokoloff Lingerie for a long time and was excited to see they had robes for sale that would perfectly complement my at-home spa vibe.
Normally you can pick up from their warehouse in Montreal and save yourself the shipping, but you'll have to keep that trick in mind for your post-pandemic purchases.
No spa day is complete without some cozy slippers for your pre- and post-bath moments. These fuzzy bad boys from Jez Elite are the exact balls of fluff my feet need right now.
Creams & Lotions
We put this list together after all the handwashing started to wreck our skin... but also before all non-essential businesses were shut down.
Before placing your order, you'll want to confirm with the shops individually to ensure they are still able to ship orders at this time.
Skin Care & Face Masks
BKIND really has everything you need when it comes to natural skincare essentials.
Plus, they also have nail care essentials and nail polish, to really complete the spa day.
Looking for a luxurious oat and banana face mask? Look no further than BOHO Éco-Cosmétiques, handmade in Château-Richer, Quebec.
When all the pampering and primping is done, it's time to curl up on the couch with a good book and just relax. Or, maybe you're a read-until-the-bath-gets-cold kinda gal.
Whatever your method, here are some great books from local authors to keep you entertained while quarantined.
Enjoy your at-home spa day, I hope it brings you a zen moment!
