Apartments For Rent In Montreal Right Now

Apartment hunting in Montreal is harder than ever these days. With Airbnb occupying so much rental space and condo developments driving up real-estate costs, Montreal is slowly turning into a renter's nightmare.

It used to be a renter's paradise, in fact, but we're slowly approaching a catastrophic dearth of apartments for rent in the city.

So to help you out, we've compiled a list of resources for apartment-hunters as well as some example listings from each site.

The following list features results from Padmapper, Kijiji, Centris,, and Kangalou. All apartments are currently available for rent as of May 2nd, 2019. We believe that these apartments most accurately represent what's available in Montreal.

Note that links to individual listings are subject to change.

Padmapper is one of the best resources to find an apartment in Montreal. The website sources thousands of public listings onto one handy site. With an easy-to-use interface and wonderfully intuitive map feature, Padmapper should be your first source to find an apartment.

Here's just an example of what you can find on Padmapper:

This apartment building is newly renovated and ideally located for students and business professionals, alike. Rent starts at $975/month for a studio apartment.

2. Kijiji

Kijiji is a great resource to start looking for an apartment. With tons of filtering options, you can get super in-depth. One downfall of Kijiji is that anyone can post anything, so the results aren't as carefully curated as some of the other sites.

Here are some examples of what you can find on Kijiji:

20 Avenue Hillcrest (Lachine)

This 4 1/2 apartment in Lachine is a little off the beaten path, but at $950/month, it's probably the most bang for your buck.

2073 Davidson (Hochelaga-Maisonneuve)
