Allo Vélo

5165 Notre-Dame W.

A combo bike boutique & cafe, Allo Velo does things a bit differently, in a very good way. Specializing in urban bikes and unique accessories, Allo Velo gets all its bikes straight from Europe (some exclusive to the store) that make up wide selection, with builds appealing to everyone's vibe. Friendly and helpful, these guys live and breathe bike culture, and will help you out no matter your skill level.

Cycle Technique

788 Atwater Ave.

Website

Hardcore cyclists will love Cycle Technique. With an on-site training facility and coaching services, triathletes, road racers, and athletes in general will love this spot. 808 Fixed Gear Shop next door is owned by the same people, which is a less intimidating shop with basic repairs and more hip/fashionable bikes.

My Bicyclette

2727 St.-Patrick St.

Website

Right by the Lachine Canal, My Bicyclette will be a God-send to those who need a quick tune-up before rolling out onto the waterside bike path. If you don't have your own bike, you can also rent one from the shop, and take a custom guided bike tour. Families will appreciate the amount of kid-friendly bikes and equipment in stock too.

Bikurious

169 Ontario St. E.

Website

This shop wins points for the name alone. Situated near the Village, this shop welcomes openly queer customers and is popular with bike messengers as it carries a lot of custom single speed and city bikes. Good repair work make it a good choice for any cyclist.

Le Grand Cycle

901 Cherrier St. E.

Website

What used to be an old diner is now Le Grand Cycle. For ten years Le Grand Cycle has been catering to a variety of cyclists, providing repairs and a selection of mountain, road, and city bikes. They're also right next to the Cherrier bike path if you need a quick tune-up.

Vélo iBike

2127 Rachel St. East

Website

Cool vibes emanate from Vélo iBike. You can get tons of custom work (and accessories) done at Vélo iBike, and they're the leading fixed gear bike shop in the city. Check out the website too, which features all the bike porn you could ever want.

Fitz & Folwell

1251 Rachel St. E.

Website

Renowned for their Montreal city-wide tours, Fitz & Folwell has tons of cool planned trips for you to explore different aspects of the city while on two wheels. With a strong focus on exploration, the shop sells city bikes and accessories, as well as offering repairs.

Offering bike repairs since 1937, Martin Swiss Cycles is a staple for upper Westmount cyclists. The shop carries road bikes, mountain bikes, and even has specialty locksmith services to keep your bike extra safe.

McWhinnies

6010 Sherbrooke St. West

If you're in NDG, then McWhinnies is probably already your go-to bike spot. Open for over 70 years, the shop has a long standing reputation for being reliable. Traditional, old-school, and welcoming, McWhinnies does all the basic repairs and stocks low priced bikes; great for beginners.

Dumoulin
