  • Centre Eaton de Montréal is undergoing a major renovation with exciting new additions to enhance your downtown shopping experience!
  • Canada's first Time Out Market has opened its doors as part of the renovations.
  • Sporting goods retailer Decathlon has also set up shop, being the first of their locations in Canada in a downtown metropolis.

Whether you love spending a Saturday perusing stores for the perfect new wardrobe staples or you simply enjoy the art of window shopping, we’ve got some exciting news for you: Centre Eaton de Montréal is undergoing a major transformation to offer new experiences in the soon-to-be improved shopping centre!

Thanks to a significant $200 million investment from its owner, Ivanhoé Cambridge, the Centre Eaton de Montréal has been undergoing a major structural redesign, resulting in a transformation that will definitely upgrade the retail experience of the commercial downtown Montreal landmark.

Building upon the same Centre Eaton de Montréal brand that we all know and love, the new renovations will include merging the former Complexe Les Ailes with the existing Centre Eaton de Montréal, resulting in one stronger, sleeker, and streamlined brand.

The renovated spaces and structural additions have given Montreal’s biggest shopping centre new life, providing you and all other Montrealers the opportunity to engage in a reinvented shopping experience like no other.

However, the pièce de résistance of this entire project is indisputably the inclusion of the highly anticipated Time Out Market Montréal, which opened on November 14 — the first Time Out Market in Canada! Not familiar with the Time Out Market concept? It’s an international project that has already been successfully established in major metropolises all over the globe, including Lisbon, Miami, Boston, Chicago — and now, luckily for us, Montreal.

Essentially, Time Out Market is an unbelievable collaboration of a city's top chefs, restaurateurs, and mixologists brought together to create one deliciously diverse culinary space. Here, you’ll be able to eat your way through the best culinary talents in Montreal, with 16 different food offerings, 3 bars, as well as a demo kitchen where you can observe the yummy magic in action. In short, it’s your wildest foodie dreams brought to life!

But Time Out Market Montréal isn’t the only exciting new addition to the Centre Eaton de Montréal! Quality sports goods store Decathlon has also joined the shopping complex and is the first in Canada to open its doors at a downtown location.

Taking up two floors filled with premium quality products, consider Decathlon your new go-to for all your sporting goods and equipment needs! Their dedication to enhanced customer experience is serious business, and they’ll even be offering test areas for all sports-centric consumers to try products in-store.

Additionally, UNIQLO, the Japanese global apparel retailer, announced in October its plans to launch in Montreal with the opening of a first store in Centre Eaton de Montréal during late 2020, marking the brand’s entry into Quebec!

LifeWear is the UNIQLO commitment to creating perfect clothing that meets the needs of everyone’s daily lifestyles. High quality, functional, affordable, and constantly evolving, LifeWear is available in a variety of colours and styles for people of all ages.

All of these exciting renovations and additions are officially open to the public! For more information on the Centre Eaton de Montréal's renovation project, visit their website.
