And a cheap drink if you hit the 5 à 7.
You Can Get A Whole Pizza For Just $5 For One Day Only This Week In Montreal
  • Pizzeria No.900 is celebrating its 5th birthday with a cheap pizza giveaway event!
  • Margherita pizzas will be only $5 for one day only.
  • There will also be a celebratory 5 à 7 at the original location!

We are always appreciative when restaurants celebrate their own birthday with free giveaways or discounts to their customers.

This week one of the most popular pizzerias in Montreal, Pizzeria No.900 is marking five years in the business. To commemorate this special day, they are giving away their famous Margherita pizza for only $5.

So mark August 22 in your food calendars as the day you can get a gourmet Neapolitan-style pizza on the cheap.

The offer is available at any of Pizzeria 900's locations, of which there are nine just in the Montreal area and a smattering of restaurants outside the city. The deal is only available in their dining room, but it is a pretty good excuse to eat out midweek.

It's hard to believe that's it's only been 5 years since the first restaurant opened considering what a staple they've become in the Montreal pizza landscape.

The first restaurant launched on Bernard in Outremont. And that location will be celebrating their birthday their own way this Thursday with a "festive 5 à 7.”

We’re thinking music and lots of Happy Birthday songs. But who cares if you can add a cheap drink to wash down your cheap pizza. That sounds perfect to us.

Pizzeria 900 is well-known for its puffy crust, and minimal but fresh toppings cooked at extremely high temperatures for 90 seconds (which is more of the Neapolitan style).

Their Margherita pizza is the perfect example of their simple but delicious cooking style. The toppings are limited to tomato sauce, parmesan, Fior di latte (a semi-soft, fresh cheese) with a little basil thrown on top. But each ingredient is chosen to add the most flavour.

Their menu isn't complex but instead focuses on simple choices consisting mostly of pizza, salads and a few Italian style appetizers like antipasti and Mozzarella di Bufala.

This isn't your old-style typical, greasy pizza house. The atmosphere at 900 is casual and tends towards the chic but still manages to feel cozy.

On any given night, Pizza 900 is busy. With the $5 pizza celebration, we imagine there will be lines. But their pizza is more than worth a bit of a wait.
