Childish Gambino a.k.a Donald Glover a.k.a one of the most talented humans of all time, is to headline the last day of Osheaga, reports the Montreal Gazette. The last time the singer and actor performed at Osheaga was in 2014, though he did not hold the headline spot.

Osheaga has been releasing their artists over the last few days as part of a mobile game in order to build anticipation about the annual music and arts festival. 6 artists per day have been announced in the last few days. The full linup is to be announced today at noon. Tickets will also be released at this time.

TLDR: Childish Gambino, a.k.a. Donald Glover, will be the headlining artist on the last day of Osheaga 2019. The full 2019 lineup will be released at noon on March 26th.


The announcement of Childish Gambino's appearance only further raises expectations for the 2019 edition of one of the biggest Canadian summer festivals. This year, Osheaga will also return to its original, and now newly renovated, grounds at Montreal's Parc Jean-Drapeau.

In addition, Osheaga 2019is set to introduce a handful of new attractions and features, including interactive and digitally immersive games. Hammocks and the Arts Village will also return this year.

Childish Gambino won four Grammy Awards last month. His video for the song "This Is America" also went viral for its portrayal of Americans' dual obsession with black American culture and disregard for black lives.
