Montreal has already begun its largest luxury condo tower project, and now another new condo project is in the workings, which is going to construct the largest residential building in the entire city.
The Montreal skyline is about to look a whole lot different.
Find out where this new building will be built below!
Another luxury condo project is in the works for downtown Montreal and it will be the tallest residential tower in the city. Not to be confused with the largest luxury condo tower project, this new project by developer Brivia Group will be located smack dab in Square Phillips and will change the Montreal skyline forever.
The 1 Square Phillips towers will stand 232.5* metres above sea level and will be the same height as Place Ville Marie. With 61 floors overlooking the city, each of the 500+ units will have views of the mountain, the St. Lawrence River, or Quartier des Spectacles.
The project, set for completion by 2024, boasts a 10,000 square foot Sky Lounge with its own whiskey bar and a 4,500 square foot terrasse on the 50th floor.* There is also a hammam, movie theatre, 24-hour guard service, and an indoor swimming pool and spa. Of course, no building can claim to be luxurious without its own yoga studio, juice bar or pet grooming station on the premises.
If you're interested in living right downtown in a building that offers everything you could possibly need, the pre-sale for units has already started.
The entrance to the building is through an impressive inner courtyard with a paved stone pattern reminiscent of the 19th century. It will be a secure entrance since as a resident, you wouldn't want just anyone wandering into your inner sanctum.
"We have taken advantage of this rare opportunity to invest in an enclave with no buildings to create a peaceful environment and a garden against a magnificent backdrop,” added Anik Shooner and Jean-Pierre LeTourneux, lead architects and partners, Menkès Shooner Dagenais LeTourneux Architectes.
Construction is expected to begin early next year. Is it surprising how quickly construction can move when there is money to be made?
And don't forget those sneaky condo fees which are estimated at $0.48 per square foot. If you're looking to buy one of the 416 sq ft studio condos those will run you an extra $200 a month. But hey, that's chump change when you're living like a queen.

The 1 Square Phillips presentation centre will be located at 539 rue Sainte-Catherine O. For November 9th, RSVP at email@example.com.*
