Here's What A $1,000/Month Apartment Looks Like In 11 Different Montreal Neighbourhoods

Montreal just keeps getting more expensive.
$1,000/Month Montreal Apartments For Rent In 11 Neighbourhoods (Photos)

The rental game is changing in Montreal and there's no denying that rent prices just keep going up. It can seem like it's hard to find those rare steals that the city used to be known for. If spending $1,000/month on rent sounds like something only our fine neighbours in Toronto have to do, think again. In fact, a grand a month for a studio or one-bedroom appears to be the new average for apartments all over the city, save for a couple rare exceptions. Roommates are really the answer to this problem, but if you're a solo sorta person, get ready to start dishing out anywhere from $800 to $1,000 for rent each month on a Montreal apartment.

Now, of course, keep in mind that this is really the off-season for renting in Montreal.

Most places still run on a July 1 lease, so people giving their six-months notice will be doing so at the beginning of February, meaning that's when most apartments will be listed.

But if you're looking for a place right now, or just want to get an idea of what $1,000 can get you depending on the Montreal neighbourhood, take a look at these 11 apartments.
