How is it September already?! As summer comes to its eventual end and everyone is packing their backpacks for the start of classes, you might look back on your summer and think "wow, I really didn't do anything, eh?" Fret not, oh regretful one, because summer is technically not over yet!

Even if you didn't go anywhere this summer, it's not too late to spend a weekend away before the great chill sweeps the province. Good thing for you, Quebec's national parks have answered the call and announced the 10th edition of Free National Parks day this Saturday, September 7th

23 of Quebec's biggest national parks will be absolutely free to visit this Saturday. Put on your hiking shoes and strap on that rucksack because you do not want to miss out on a chance to experience a mini-vacation before reality sets in.

Quebec's national parks are natural wonders and some of the best in the country. From expansive forests, endless rivers, and huge fjords, there's something for everyone. Who would've thought that our backyards are so beautiful?

Here are just a few of the best parks located near Montreal that will be free this Saturday!

Parc national du Mont-Tremblant

You might've gone there a few times with a field trip or with family, but for one day only, experience the park completely free of charge!

Tremblant will also have a multitude of family activities and cultural events throughout the day.

Parc national des Îles-de-Boucherville

This natural reserve is just a skip away from downtown Montreal and is absolutely stunning. If you haven't yet seen this park, you must!
