Fairmount & St-Viateur Both Deliver If You Need A Taste Of Summer In The Mile End

One of the most comforting aspects of isolation in Montreal is knowing that so many amazing foods can be delivered right to your door. From healthy foods and bubble tea to fast food and greek dishes, our city has been making food options accessible even in the toughest of times. If there is one thing Montreal locals love, it's fresh bagels and thankfully, Fairmount and St-Viateur have delivery options.

Fairmount bagels can be found on UberEats, Foodora, and DoorDash and you can even order cream cheese to come with your order.

On the St-Viateur website, you can get bagels delivered right to your door within one to two days, according to a recent Facebook post. The one catch is that they will only deliver a minimum of two dozen bagels at a time.

The good thing about bagels is that you can freeze them and with all the snacking we have been doing, two dozen bagels won't last as long as they would normally.

In your St-Viateur delivery, you can additionally purchase some merchandise, including T-shirts, hats, a spreading knife, and even all dressed bagel mix!

St-Viateur has also confirmed that it's still open Monday to Saturday 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

However, city officials have requested that Montrealers not venture out of their own neighbourhoods, making a trip to the Mile End unwise.

Delivery is therefore most residents' best way to get that signature bagel goodness.

Fairmount bagel has been around since 1919 and claims to be the first bakery of its kind in the city. The Fairmount recipe has not changed since its inception and continues to attract throngs of visitors year-round.

St-Viateur bagel writes on its website that it's "proud to be the longest-running bagel shop in Montreal."

Its success, it argues, is "rooted" in a family tradition dating back to its founding in 1957.

Delivery offers just one piece of the experience of a visit to Fairmount and St-Viateur.

But it's a comfort nonetheless.
