No road trip is complete without some greasy meals throughout your drive. And, although Quebec has some pretty great restaurants, Ontario has a number of famous chain restaurants that haven't yet made their way to our province. This map will help guide you and your stomach through a fattening and delicious drive towards a food coma - and Ontario.
I love living in Montreal and am also very proud to be from Quebec. However, throughout Ontario, there are more American chains, due to the language laws in Quebec that make it more complicated for English chains to open. Sometimes this just doesn't seem fair.
Many of us find peace on road trips and since Ontario is so close, a lot of Montreal locals decide to choose a destination within that province. Throughout Ontario, there are a ton of cool chains to try out if you're not in the mood to cross the American-Canadian border.
However, it's not only American food chains that Ontario has, the province also has some Candian chain restaurants, so you'll be getting to tase all of North America on this food-inspired road trip!
So, why not check out some of these iconic and well-known establishments that we don’t have at home?
