Even several years after the end of the saga, Harry Potter continues to amaze young and old, alike. The luckiest will have the chance to visit the studios in Europe or even The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal in Orlando, but others are usually satisfied with themed events in their local areas. But if you've always dreamt of touching something that represents this wizard universe, we're pleased to announce that a Harry Potter store is opening in New York and it's going to be worth the road trip.
You can start marking "X's" on your calendar and planning your little adventure because in just a few months you'll be able to immerse yourself in the most magical world there is.
This three-storey, 20,000-square-foot store will open its doors in the summer of 2020.
In a press release, the store promises the single largest collection of Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts products. You will be able to find customizable dresses, thematic candies, and wizard wands among its wares.
It will also be the largest shop in the world entirely dedicated to the magical world created by J.K. Rowling.
If your owl hasn't brought you your letter yet (he must have gotten lost!) you can go and get your equipment there in the meantime.
The company behind the whole thing says that there are still many surprises to be revealed, but promises a magical and interactive experience — and that's enough to convince us.
"Harry Potter New York will be part of an expanding portfolio of Warner Bros. owned Wizarding World experiences," the press release concludes.
Does that mean there's a possibility that a store could one day open in Montreal? One can dream.
