If you could never imagine spending your Valentine's Day at IKEA then that makes two of us. Or did, before I actually read the itinerary of this random Valentine's Day dinner at IKEA Montreal. Now, I actually want to go. First of all, I can't think of anything more hilarious than saying you spent your Valentine's at IKEA, of all places.
Second, the price for this three-course meal (including wine or beer) is super affordable — and we all know IKEA food is amazing.
So, while I may have first thought the idea of having a romantic dinner at IKEA was a bit of an oxymoron, I know I can't help but feel like it would actually be a great way to spend the Hallmark holiday.
Not only will you save a ton of money by passing on the cliched fancy dinner, but there are also a good handful of other perks that come along with the price of admission.
Plus, this is IKEA after all, so we know they're going to be on top of the decor, which promises to include music, candles, and flowers.
The three-course meal, which includes either wine or beer, is just $34.99 for two, or only $29.99 if you are an IKEA Family member, which is free to join.
The menu is as follows:
Entree
Soup or salad
Plat principal
Meatballs with bacon and herb mashed potatoes, mixed vegetables and cranberry sauce
or
Glazed salmon, cauliflower puree, marinated vegetables and northern prawns
or
Vegetable dumplings with ratatouille, mixed vegetables sprinkled with gremolata and Parmesan crisps
Dessert
Cheesecake or chocolate cake
To drink
A glass of wine or beer is included. Coffee, tea, or a non-alcoholic beverage is also an option.
A children's meal is also available for $3.49.

Now, of course, this type of date is not for everyone. So, before you start getting all excited about saving a fortune on this romantic meal, be sure to ask your special someone if this is their kinda thing.
The Valentine's Day dinner will take place on Friday, February 14, 2020, from 4:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.
Guests will also receive a parting gift on their way out.
Following Valentine's Day dinner for two on the 14, IKEA Montreal will also be hosting Valentine's Day events for IKEA Family members on the 15 and 16.
Activities include games, crafts, and competitions for kids all over the store, with prizes to be won. Kids will also eat free this weekend with the purchase of an adult meal.
Plus, a photo booth will be set up for couples and families alike to take an epic photo in the IKEA photo booth.
All IKEA Family members will receive two photos, "one beautiful and one goofy."
