Classic Montreal cuisine just got a lot more accessible. According to a press release, food delivery service foodora has signed "an exclusive delivery partnership with the world-famous Schwartz's Deli."
"A true Montreal classic and Canada's oldest deli, Schwartz's is offering delivery for the first time ever through foodora" from its famous storefront in the Plateau-Mont-Royal.
No longer will Montrealers have to wait in an endless line and mingle politely with overly eager tourists in order to taste some of the best smoked meat in the city.
TL;DR Schwartz's Deli has partnered with foodora to offer delivery for the first time. Schwartz's delivery options are live on the foodora website.
Foodora suggests, however, that the whole Schwartz's menu will not be available. Delivery options will instead represent a "curated" selection, "including the iconic Schwartz's smoked meat sandwich, served as a combo with fries, coleslaw and a pickle; smoked meat combo platters for two to five people; sides and drinks."
This announcement is a long time coming. "We know our customers have wanted Schwartz's delivery for a long time — partnering with foodora means our customers can conveniently enjoy our original smoked meat from the comfort of their home or office anytime they want," says Schwartz's general manager Frank Silva in the release.

With Céline Dion as a partial owner and representing the cuisine of the Montreal Jewish community, Schwartz's is quintessentially québécois. Participating in this cultural mainstay just got a bit easier.
