Katya From RuPaul's Drag Race Is Coming To Montreal Next Month (Even Though She Thinks "Poutine Is Disgusting")

If you're like me, you question every day why Katya Zamolodchikova doesn't have a Drag Race crown. But, I guess, just as not all heroes wear capes, not all Queens wear crowns.

Some opt for arrows through their head, instead... and honestly, Katya can pull off pretty much any look... so the shit end of the archery stick is still fierce AF with a mug like that.

And lucky for us here in Montreal, the most beloved Miss Congeniality (after Sandra Bullock, that is), Katya, is coming to Montreal next month as part of her Help me, I'm dying tour.

I had the chance to talk to the Drag Race superstar and she had some very nice things to say about the Canadian stops on her tour... her thoughts on poutine, though? Less savoury.

It's true, you won't be seeing Katya (or her alter ego, Brian) stopping off at La Belle Province for a poutine after the show, since she let me know she considers our beloved national dish "disgusting." When I asked if she'd ever actually tried it, the truth came out: she was judging entirely based on how "gross" it looked.

I conceded... it is drunk food after all.

But just because she's got no love for poutine doesn't mean she isn't beyond excited to be bringing her tour to at least 6 Canadian cities over the course of next month.

She divulged that she thinks Canada has the "best crowds," and that she's "super excited" for Toronto - and those lucky bastards even get two shows.

While we were on the phone and I struggled with ridiculous bouts of internal fangirling, I had the mind to ask her thoughts on the most recent season of Drag Race and our own Queen of the North, Brooke Lynn Hytes.

While Katya was forced to admit she hadn't watched the season all the way through (Note the cover below: bitch is busy being one of the most powerful Queens in the game) she did have some super kind words for our girl Brooke.

"She's like the Canadian Courtney Act," speaking of Brooke Lynn Hytes and her blonde bombshell looks. She then added, "She actually looks kind of like me," which then started all sorts of talk about a duo Queens of the North tour featuring the two blondes dancing and singing the praises of socialism.

I'd buy tickets right now. I'm already in line in my mind.

To buy tickets to Katya's Montreal show, or any of the other stops on her Help me, I'm dying tour, head to her website

The Montreal show is happening at the Rialto Theatre, arguably Montreal's most beautiful concert and show venues. Tickets range in price from $57.99 to $246.55 if you're looking to do a meet and greet.

Tickets are also hilariously named based on their tier, from "Trish’s Dumpster Special," to "Soviet Working Class," and " Titanic 2nd Class Cabin". VIP Meet & Greet tickets are labelled as "Suspicious Rich Person VIP Meet & Greet," and "Eccentric Billionaire Benefactor Platinum VIP Meet & Greet."

Very on brand.
